The Opportunity:
HKA is seeking an Associate Implementation Consultant to support the delivery and deployment of PMWeb, a leading construction program and project controls platform used on large, complex capital projects worldwide.
This is an entry‑level consulting role designed for individuals who are motivated to learn how construction teams plan, govern, and report on major projects using enterprise technology. You will work alongside experienced consultants throughout the full implementation lifecycle — from discovery and requirements gathering through configuration, deployment, and user training — while gradually taking on more responsibility and client interaction.
The role provides hands‑on exposure to real client environments and a strong foundation in construction project technology, systems implementation, and consulting best practices. With experience, this position can grow into more senior implementation, solution design, or data strategy responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
As part of the PMWeb implementation team, responsibilities include:
Support discovery efforts by analyzing client business processes, project controls needs, and system objectives.
Document business requirements, configuration specifications, reporting needs, and customization requests clearly and accurately.
Configure PMWeb environments based on approved requirements, including forms, workflows, dashboards, permissions, and project structures.
Work closely with Senior Implementation Consultants to design and deliver client‑specific solutions.
Utilize HKA implementation and delivery tools (e.g., Trello, MS Project, Lucid, internal AI tools) to manage tasks, documentation, and implementation artifacts.
Apply both traditional and Agile delivery methods depending on project scope and client needs.
Communicate project issues, risks, and status updates clearly to internal team members.
Support client training sessions (remote and onsite), assist with user adoption, and help troubleshoot configuration and usage issues.
Manage individual tasks and timelines across multiple active workstreams in a consulting environment.
Participate in internal team meetings, knowledge sharing, and process improvement initiatives.
As experience grows, contribute to advanced data and reporting initiatives, including supporting PMWeb reporting strategies and assisting with tools such as Power BI.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong interest in technology, systems implementation, and the construction or capital projects industry.
Initiative, curiosity, and a willingness to learn in a consulting environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, including comfort working with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Ability to quickly learn new software platforms and internal tools.
High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high‑quality work.
Ability to take direction while progressively working more independently.
Familiarity with Agile concepts, business process mapping, or construction/project controls software is a plus but not required.
