Our recruitment process is designed to be merit based, transparent, inclusive, and efficient, ensuring that every candidate has a positive experience from the first interaction to the final decision.
In this section, you’ll find a step-by-step overview of what to expect during your journey with us, from initial application to onboarding. We want you to feel informed, prepared, and excited about the opportunity to join a company that values high performance, innovation, collaboration, and growth.

Our recruitment process is made up of a number of stages designed to provide you with insight into HKA and the people you could be working with. These stages are changeable depending on the role you apply for; however, our recruitment team will ensure you are fully informed on your first introduction call following a successful initial application.
Application
All of our open vacancies are listed on our careers page. By applying though our careers page you will be assigned to the member of our recruitment team with responsibility for that role. Feel free to view all our current open vacancies here.
When applying for a role that suits your skills and experience, please ensure you have an updated CV to upload along with your contact details. While not essential, we do enjoy finding out a little more about you through a cover letter.
Once we have completed collecting applications, our recruitment team will be in touch to let you know the outcome of your initial application, whether you have been successfully moved to the next stage or on this occasion your application has been unsuccessful.

Introduction to the Recruitment Team
The recruitment team member responsible for the vacancy will continue to be your point of contact throughout the entire process and will be in touch to invite you to an initial introduction meeting with them. In this meeting, we will find out more about you, your motivations for applying, your aspirations and expectations.
We will also provide you detailed information on our business, culture and what to expect as part of the process. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions to ensure you are fully prepared for the next stages of the process.








Interview process
If you’re selected to progress forward, you will be invited to attend an interview with members of the HKA team you could be working with. These interviews are conducted either face-to-face in one of our offices or virtually. We invite you to share examples of specific situations from your experience that showcase your skills, competencies and behaviours.
The number of interviews can vary across our business areas and geographies. In all cases, you will have the opportunity to meet members of the team and subject to progressing to meeting the hiring manager and/or service line lead.
We include a variety of skills-based assessments in our interview process, which will vary across our business areas and geographies. The assessments may include but are not limited to the following:
- Written exercises
- Technical skills assessments
- Case study exercises
- Work sample exercises
- Presentations
Please note that you will not be expected to complete all these assessments. If you are required to complete an assessment it will be relevant to the role that you are applying for and will help us to assess your skills and abilities.

Outcome
We carefully evaluate all of the information and interview feedback and will be in touch in a timely manner to advise you of the outcome.
Candidates who we would like to extend an offer to, will hear from your recruitment team contact who will provide you with details of an offer proposal. We are also available to talk this through with you, answer any questions and provide support. Subject to candidate acceptance and to gaining the approvals required to issue formal contracts of employment, we will then introduce you to our People Team who will be your point of contact from that point forward. They will issue your new hire paperwork and coordinate your onboarding in preparation for your first day at HKA.

Lastly, you’ll receive a link to complete our Candidate Experience Survey. This is your opportunity to provide feedback on your recent candidate experience with HKA. Your feedback is important to us and will help us to continue to evolve and improve our recruitment process.
