The Opportunity:
HKA is seeking a Director-level Consultant who combines deep forensic scheduling expertise with strong client leadership and commercial acumen. You’ll build and sustain senior client relationships, deliver rigorous schedule delay analyses (Primavera P6), and elevate HKA’s market profile through visible thought leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and assure quality of forensic schedule analyses (baseline, updates, as-built) and delay/impact assessments in Primavera P6.
- Direct organization of project records, document chronologies, and labor/cost analyses.
- Lead Expert Reporting; act as or prepare for expert testimony, including report drafting and court documentation.
- Ensure methodological rigor, consistency, and clear client communication across deliverables.
- Lead delivery of multiple complex projects, managing scope, resources, budgets, and efficiency.
- Manage Risk; identify, escalate, and mitigate project risks; recommend practical solutions while following firm processes.
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships; anticipate needs and resolve complex issues with tact.
- Mentor and develop teams, foster a feedback culture, and represent HKA through thought leadership and industry engagement.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a STEM field
- 8+ years in Construction and Consulting, with experience resolving complex projects and managing multiple deliverables
- Strong understanding of construction documentation such as contracts, RFIs, submittals, and schedules
- Expert in forensic scheduling using Primavera P6, including delay and impact analysis
- Ability to manage and draft Expert Reports to support the Expert Witness
- Skilled in advanced Excel for large-data analysis and producing client-ready visuals and reports
- Experienced in building senior client relationships and crafting well-scoped proposals.
- Demonstrated leadership to direct reports in mentoring, delegation, and performance management.
