The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager-level Consultant to join our Construction Claims and Disputes team. This is a pivotal role within HKA’s market-leading practice, offering high visibility with both clients and internal stakeholders, and the chance to make a tangible impact on complex, high-profile projects.
As a Manager, you will be entrusted with project ownership and client relationship management, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of experts—including engineers, planners, quantity surveyors, and forensic specialists. You’ll lead the delivery of incisive claims analysis, schedule and delay investigations, and expert testimony, helping clients navigate disputes and achieve optimal outcomes
Responsibilities:
- Lead and organize project documentation and analysis, including schedules and as-built records.
- Develop clear, data-driven graphics and reports to communicate findings.
- Analyze labor, cost, and delay data to support claims and dispute resolution.
- Prepare expert reports and court documentation; contribute to expert testimony.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Manage project teams, delegate tasks, and mentor junior colleagues.
- Ensure quality, risk management, and compliance with HKA’s standards.
- Support business development by identifying new opportunities and promoting HKA’s services.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Construction, Engineering, or related STEM field.
- 4+ years’ experience in relevant roles requiring expertise in scheduling, project controls, delay analysis, and other relevant construction skills.
- Experience with Construction Documentation such as contracts, change orders, Construction Change Directives, Change Order Requests, RFI, submittals, daily reports, schedules, meeting minutes, etc.
- Advanced experience with Primavera P6 or similar tools.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client management abilities.
- Experience in Construction Claims & Disputes strongly preferred
- Experience in litigation support including Expert Report drafting preferred, not required.
