Business Support Administrator
Corporate Front Office role in a Professional Services Consulting Firm, with primary responsibilities in Office Management, and aiding our Executive Administrator for Partner support tasks.

The Opportunity:
As HKA continues to grow, we’re excited to add a Business Support Administrator to our Washington, DC office! We’re looking for someone with a work history showing stability and commitment, with familiarity in Corporate/Professional Services environments. You’ll provide vital administrative support and manage office tasks. If you have strong critical thinking, attention to detail, professionalism, excellent communication, and organizational skills, and enjoy working with a large team and diverse audiences, this role is for you!
Compensation:
HKA offers a range between $33.00 to $37.50 per hour, depending upon qualifications and relevant experience. The position qualifies for overtime pay and full benefit eligibility including Health/Dental/Vision Insurance, Retirement Plan, Paid Time Off and much more!
Responsibilities:
1. Manage General Office Administration:
- Maintaining professional office appearance (kitchen, conference rooms, communal spaces)
- Shipping and receiving parcels (FedEx/UPS/US Mail)
- Assisting with meeting planning and event coordination (ordering lunches)
- Coordinating local employee and client events
- Ordering, maintaining, and organizing office supplies
- Liaising with building management and local vendors
- Managing off-site storage
- Visitor management
- Assisting with local recruiting coordination and employee onboarding
- Assisting colleagues with administrative tasks as needed
- Partnering on client invoicing, CRM maintenance, and system updates
- Other tasks as requested
2. Support administrative assistance projects for multiple Partners:
- Time and expense entry
- Calendar management
- Complex business travel arrangements
- Meeting coordination
- Project support (binder preparation, document preparation, scan/copy/print jobs)
- Project administration (preparing engagement letters, conflict checks, engagement commencement)
- Other tasks as required/requested
Skills and Experience:
Ideally you will possess the following skills and experience:
- 3+ years of Administrative Experience in a Corporate Setting, with a strong preference for Professional Services organizations.
- Ability to work on-site in Washington, DC, 4-5 days a week.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Extensive experience managing conflicting requirements, and tasks requiring critical thinking and problem solving.
- Experience in Customer or Client Communication
- Demonstrable expertise using various tools and software, especially Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
