The Opportunity:

HKA’s Government Contracts Group supports commercial and non-profit organizations that conduct business with the U.S. Federal Government, providing them with consulting services on complex government contracting matters.

The ideal candidate will bring familiarity with consulting external clients, specifically non-government organizations, and have a strong finance/accounting background. 

Responsibilities may include:

• Assist with consulting on compliance issues, compliance and system assessments, preparing and reviewing indirect rates.
• Help with investigations and disputes.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing claims.
• Support the analysis of cost and price issues in bid protests.
• Help prepare and review termination settlement proposals.
• Assist in resolving disputes between prime and subcontractors.
• Support the preparation of expert reports, testimony, and exhibits for trials, dispute resolution, or settlements.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance Required
• 3+ Years of experience in Consulting or Professional Services; consulting to external businesses.
• Experience consulting to non-government organizations such as commercial, non-profits, etc.
• Expertise in Compliance related to Government Contracts
• Professional experience or specialization in FAR, OMB Uniform Guidance for Federal Awards, CAS, and other agency regulatory supplements.
• Availability to Travel as needed which can range from 0 - 25% quarterly

What We Offer

Compensation:  HKA offers an annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 depending on qualifications, credentials, and experience.
