The Opportunity:
As a Communications and Digital Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s communication strategy and digital presence. Your expertise and knowledge will drive brand consistency, enhance client engagement, manage public perception and contribute to achieving the firm's business goals.
We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic professional who has a strong track record in B2B professional services and who understands the importance of delivering outcome-based communication and digital campaigns that make a significant difference for business. If you’re passionate about driving effective communication and digital marketing strategies, this role is for you.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Communications and digital strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive communications and digital strategy aligned with the firm’s business objectives to further enhance the brand across several service lines and industry sectors. Be responsible for ensuring that our communication and digital efforts contribute effectively to our overall success. Ensure consistency in messaging across various platforms, including website and social media.
- Managing Communications Material: Prepare and oversee all corporate communications material, including press releases, thought leadership and other relevant content. Develop, implement and manage a global thought leadership programme working with marketing directors across the regions.
- Media Relations: Cultivate relationships with media professionals, influencers, and community leaders. Possess the ability and skill to handle media enquiries and coordinate interviews.
- Digital Campaign Strategy and Execution: Manage, implement, and deliver specific global digital campaigns across multiple channels to raise brand awareness, profile our expertise, and position our people as thought leaders. Coordinate campaign timelines, budgets, and resources. Develop a brand voice and maintain brand integrity across different channels. Assign campaigns SMART objectives and report on their performance.
- Content and Creative Management: Create compelling digital campaign content and optimise messaging for different channels.
- Tool and Application Management: Oversee the smooth operation of all digital tools and applications, including our website, intranet and social media platforms. Play an integral role in managing our digital platform, HubSpot, to drive further engagement with our communications and campaigns.
- SEO and Metrics Analysis: Play a significant role in SEO, particularly in analysing metrics to optimise our communications and digital performance and communicate key outcomes/successes to the business.
- Paid Advertising and SEO: Manage and oversee paid social media advertising. Optimise website content for search engines.
- Innovation: Generate innovative ideas to enhance communication and digital campaigns to increase client engagement.
- Brand Consistency: Collaborate with the marketing team and cross-functional teams to maintain brand consistency and tone of voice across all communications and digital channels.
- Advertising: Manage and provide expert opinion on advertising requests, ensuring effective utilisation of our digital platforms and sponsorships.
Skills and Experience:
Ideally you will possess the following skills and experience:
- 15+ years experience as a Communications and Digital Director or in a similar role in a professional services environment.
- Preferred experience of HubSpot Marketing Hub.
- Proven experience in delivering marketing-led results in B2B professional services businesses.
- Solid experience with online marketing tools and web-based technologies.
- Hands-on experience with SEO, with an understanding of content and technical improvements. Familiarity with Google Analytics and other relevant analytics tools.
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent copywriting and copy-editing abilities.
- Outstanding planning, prioritisation and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and team management skills.
- Effective collaborator and execution of communication initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related discipline (or equivalent).
