The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant management accountant who loves being part of a multi- disciplined team and is looking for a challenge. You will be responsible for the accounts receivable functions and assist with overall support to the finance team.
As part of this role you will be responsible for:
Managing daily transactions, including daily bank reconciliations and debtor tracking.
Supporting the Finance Manager with weekly and monthly reporting.
Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations.
Maintain the Quality Management System, conduct internal audits through out the year and update the manual for certification renewal.
Supporting the Finance team during regional annual audits, and other ad hoc projects as required.
Review expense claims and compile supporting receipts for client approval.
Prepare and compile monthly timesheets.
Prepare and compile monthly billing invoices.
Compile utilisation reports for bi-weekly and weekly submissions.
Ensure the correct creation on project set up on Vantagepoint.
Assist with Accounts Payable processing across the region.
Ideally you will possess the following skills and experience:
Degree qualified in accounting, or currently studying towards a professional accounting qualification.
Demonstrable experience in an accounting or finance role.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using ERP-based accounting systems.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.
Proven problem solving and analytical skills.
Collaborative team player with a proactive, positive approach.
Commenced or willing to commence membership with a recognised accounting professional body.
Able to learn quickly, manage multiple priorities, and consistently meet deadlines.
Motivated to grow professionally and build depth of experience within the role.
