The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Accountant who loves being part of a multi- disciplined team and is looking for a challenge. You will be responsible for the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, assist with the preparation of month end reporting, and overall support to the finance team.
As part of this role you will be responsible for:
Preparing and processing month-end journals
Managing daily transactions, including daily bank reconciliations and debtor tracking
Assisting with Accounts Payable, employee expenses, and Accounts Receivable processing
Reconciling sub-contractor invoices and preparing margin analysis
Supporting the Finance Manager with weekly and monthly reporting
Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations
Support payroll processing and related postings
Supporting the Finance team during regional annual audits, and other ad hoc projects as required
Skills and Experience:
Ideally you will possess the following skills and experience:
Degree qualified in Accounting, or cuurently studying towards a professional accounting qualification
Demonstrable experience in an accounting or finance role
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using ERP-based accounting systems
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders
Proven problem solving and analytical skills
Collaborative team player with a proactive, positive approach
Commenced or willing to commence membership with a recognised accounting professional body
Able to learn quickly, manage multiple priorities, and consistently meet deadlines
Motivated to grow professionally and build depth of experience within the role
