The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Group Head of Tax, Treasury, and Reporting, we are looking for an experienced International Tax Advisor/Manager to join our Corporate Finance team. While the team is primarily based at our Corporate Head Office in Warrington, we are open to considering candidates from other locations.
Role Responsibilities:
Provide advice across the Group on tax related matters and ad hoc projects.
Monitor for legislative changes in the international tax environment that could impact upon the Group.
Work with local finance teams and external advisors to ensure timely filing of tax returns and tax payments.
Preparation of local and consolidated tax disclosures.
Forecasting cash tax charges and payments across the Group.
Provide support where required to the finance team to complete ad hoc requests, e.g. residency certificates and withholding tax forms.
Liaise with third parties to resolve tax related issues, e.g. appropriate VAT treatment of services and WHT rates.
Maintain the Group’s transfer pricing strategy and adherence to local reporting requirements.
Implementing changes to existing and new tax regimes.
Ensuring tax efficient cash movements across the Group.
Working with the business on new commercial initiatives, ensuring they are structured in a tax efficient way and risks are managed.
Ad hoc projects and tasks.
Advising on global mobility issues.
Skills and Experience:
Ideally you will possess the following skills and experience:
Professional accounting and/or tax qualification (ACA or CTA preferred).
Minimum 2 years’ post-qualified experience working within a corporate tax environment, either in practice or in-house.
Exposure to multiple tax jurisdictions not essential but would be a plus.
Good oral and written communication skills with an aptitude for problem-solving.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work well in a collaborative environment as part of the wider finance team.
The confidence and ability to work remotely and independently using Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft tools including Microsoft Excel.
