The Opportunity:
We are seeking a proactive Bid Writer to join our growing Advisory team in Sydney. This hybrid role could be perfect for you if you are a detail-oriented professional who has experience writing winning proposals in a consultancy or professional services environment.
You will be responsible for crafting clear, compelling, and compliant proposals that reflect HKA’s value proposition. Collaborating with subject matter experts and technical teams, you will develop tailored content for EOIs, RFPs, and capability statements. With access to a comprehensive library, you will maintain, and contribute to the content, case studies, and support internal processes to ensure quality and consistency across submissions.
This is a high-impact role with visibility across the business and strong potential for career growth. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Write and create persuasive responses to bids and proposals across our advisory service line across our Asia Pacific region.
- Lead end-to-end development of responses to EOIs, RFPs, and capability statements.
- Craft persuasive responses through collaboration with key stakeholders across HKA.
- Ensure alignment with client requirements and HKA’s strategic messaging.
- Guide and collaborate with technical teams, subject matter experts, and leadership teams to gather inputs.
- Support, develop, and maintain a library of reusable content, templates, case studies, and credentials.
- Facilitate internal discussions from kickoff to outcome including timeline management, negotiations, and post-submission clarifications.
- Coordinate frameworks and panel compliance for key accounts.
- Liaise with marketing, legal, and commercial teams to ensure compliance and brand consistency.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a proposal writing or bid writer role.
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver high-quality content under pressure.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong understanding of public sector procurement and tendering processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- A collaborative team player with a proactive, can-do attitude.
