The Opportunity
As a Consultant in our Forensic Accounting & Commercial Damages (FACD) team, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of high‑quality expert advisory services. You will work closely with experienced colleagues to assist with financial, accounting and valuation analyses, while contributing to the effective execution of our commissions. This role provides an outstanding foundation for building a career in forensic accounting, valuations, financial damages and expert services.
You will gain early exposure to complex disputes and have the opportunity to grow quickly as you develop your technical capability, commercial awareness and client-handling skills.
Key Responsibilities
You will support the FACD practice by:
Technical Work & Analysis
Contributing to the delivery of high‑quality technical work within your assigned areas.
Assisting with financial, accounting and data analysis for expert and dispute-related engagements.
Developing strong analytical, problem‑solving and research skills.
Commission Support
Supporting the execution of assigned commission management tasks, ensuring alignment with HKA methodologies and standards.
Helping maintain quality, accuracy and consistency across your work.
Client Interaction
Developing effective working relationships with client project team members in a professional, appropriate manner.
Professional Development
Taking ownership of your self-development, identifying learning goals and seeking out opportunities to build skills and knowledge.
Business Development & Market Engagement
Supporting local business development initiatives, including assisting with proposals and contributing to team marketing efforts.
Acting as a brand ambassador, including appropriate professional use of social media.
Skills & Experience
We’re looking for an analytical, motivated and collaborative Consultant who brings:
We welcome applications from newly qualified accountants and economics postgraduates, as well as those with practical experience:
Postgraduate degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business.
Qualified Accountant or Economist with 3+ years’ experience in consulting (Forensic Services, Valuations, Transaction Services, or Audit).
Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
Clear communicator, both written and verbal.
Strategic thinker who thrives in ambiguity.
Language skills are a plus!
