The Opportunity:
HKA has taken substantial measures to grow our Forensic Accounting service line over the last few years. As we grow, we're seeking a tenured Forensic Consultant who is a bit of a Generalist, but brings expertise in Forensic Accounting, Litigation Support (especially expert reports), and Commercial Damages projects.
You will be responsible for:
- Creating and managing Expert Reports and other materials in support of our Expert Witnesses.
- Establishing strong relationships with Clients through regular communication, often as primary point of contact.
- Assessing damages analyses by opposing experts, preparing rebuttal opinions.
- Conducting data analyses to identify anomalies, relationships, or trends.
- Conducting fact-based investigations to test the validity of allegations using proven investigative approaches and the latest technology.
- Training, developing and supervising teams performing detailed financial analyses and building financial models.
- Managing workflow and deliverables for the teams you are working with and the colleagues you are supervising.
- Performing business development activities and attending networking events.
Requirements:
- Ability to work a minimum of 3 days per week in the Chicago office
- Bachelors or Masters in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business/Management.
- 6+ Years as a Forensic Accountant or similar Financial Consulting role.
- 2+ Years experience with providing Litigation Support including Expert Reports.
- Expertise in Commercial Damages
- CPA, CFE strongly preferred
- Expertise in Data Analysis, Data Modeling, and more. Experience with SQL preferred but not required.
Compensation and Benefits:
HKA offers an annual salary range between $150,000 and $200,000 depending on evaluation of transferable skills, qualifications and experience.
