The Opportunity:
Our Integrated Project Services team in Sydney is currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Planner to join and make an impact through planning and scheduling across multiple projects.
We establish, procure and deliver some of the world’s largest and most complex infrastructure projects. Our teams are known for being highly visible on our projects whilst helping our clients solve complex challenges. We pride ourselves on the excellent relationships that we have built across our programmes, whilst providing best-practice Project Management Office (PMO) and project controls tools.
You will be based in our Sydney office and will be required to work a minimum of three days per week from our Client's office.
You will be responsible for:
- Overseeing and ensuring plans and schedules are accurate.
- Production and control of schedule baseline and utilise approved work breakdown structures and techniques.
- Management and coordination of project reports and identify scheduling and planning requirements throughout the projects including Progress Report Dashboards.
- Assist the project team to update their forecasts (time and budget) monthly, quarterly, or as needed.
- Develop and deliver the Construction Readiness, Construction delivery including Testing and Commissioning schedule within the P6 environment.
- Ensure schedule quality checks and data are being correctly generated and review and report on contractor’s schedules.
- Support and cooperate with cost estimate, cost control, risk, change management, delivery and commercial teams
- Manage and maintain individual sections of the master schedule and ensure its integrity.
- Evaluate tenders, schedule delay analysis and collaborate with Project Teams to ensure consistency and integrity between different project work packages.
- Prepare and develop for ‘what if’ scenarios and run a schedule impact assessment.
- Run a Schedule Health Checks and Schedule Risk Analysis.
- Experience in developing Time Location Diagrams, Summary Schedules and running SRA are preferable but not a must. HKA will provide training for the right candidate.
- Assist with the drafting of proposals for future work opportunities.
Skills and Experience:
Ideally you will possess the following skills and experience:
- Strong demonstrable experience working within a planning and scheduling environment, in either infrastructure, construction, or water projects.
- Proven understanding of planning and scheduling methodologies and tools within projects.
- The ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, stakeholders and other clientele.
- Strong commercial and financial awareness.
- Working knowledge of Project Planning systems inclusive of P6 is must. Knowledge of Primavera Risk Analysis, Acumen Risk or Time Location Diagrams Software are preferably.
- Must be versed in modern project management and project controls techniques within a multi-disciplined organisation.
- Demonstrated organisational skills and experience working within a high-volume professional environment juggling multiple competing priorities.
- The ability to communicate articulately both verbally and orally, alongside strong negotiation and presentation skills.
