The Opportunity:
Our Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages (FACD) practice in Australia continuous to see success and have rapidly expanded at the start of 2025. As a result, we are looking for a Managing Consultant join our team.
This is an opportunity to work on disputes, investigations and valuations projects across Australia and the Asia Pacific region in a variety of industries.
In this role, you will execute the following responsibilities::
- Execution of assigned commission management responsibilities with appropriate guidance in line with HKA Standards
- Assist expert in formulating inputs into opinions in assigned areas
- Delivery of technical product, with appropriate guidance, in specific areas of operation
- Actively contribute to local business development initiatives
- Contribute as required to bid and proposal development.
- Brand Ambassador in use of social media, interaction with client and attend professional
- Develop relationship with client's project team members. Where appropriate maintain ongoing contact.
- Self-management and self-development. Seek learning opportunities and identify technical learning needs
You will be mentored by our world-leading Expert Witnesses in best practice, and will be able to pursue multiple pathways in your career, whether you want to be a technical subject matter specialist, or to testify in the witness stand. Skills and Experience:
Ideally you will possess the following skills and experience:
- You are a strategic thinker who is comfortable working through ambiguity and loves an intellectual challenge.
- Possess a minimum of 3-6 years post-graduate experience from working in large accounting practice or forensic accounting/valuation practice.
- Possess a University degree or relevant post-graduate qualification & professional qualification – CFA or ACA/ACCA or advanced economics.
- You have strong problem solving skills, and an attention to detail.
- You have exceptional written and communication skills, and are drafting sections of reports and letters.
- You are confident at juggling and managing multiple matters, while overseeing and coaching more junior staff.
- You are building a network of contacts, and are beginning to drive strategic business development activities.
- You enjoy a collaborative team environment, where we all contribute our ideas.
- You have integrity and want to be part of a highly supportive team with strong family values.
- You have a strong focus on self-management and self-development, actively seeking learning opportunities.
